Matthew Baamonde, founder of www.baazarmusic.com, is a multi-instrumentalist, currently in attendance at Berklee College of Music in Boston, and the recipient of two major scholarship awards: The 2008 Peter Kaleta Award for Music Preparation and the 2008 Berklee Achievement Scholarship, as well as other less prominent awards, ranking him as one of the elite musical talents, and one of the hardest workers, at this prestigious, one-of-a-kind, institution.

His songs have received a great deal of acclaim online. On American Idol's Underground website he won numerous monthly competitions outright in the Rock category, including IU's first ever six month long "Rock Competition", and he had two songs (2nd and 4th overall) in the finals of their first big "Push Competition" of thousands of submissions worldwide. Other songs have been Track of the Day and Track of the Week, among other awards on Garageband.com.

Recognition for his music has resulted in feature profiles on Fox News, in the Washington Post, Guitar World Magazine (twice), and numerous local news papers. His song "Amplifire" was included on the CD insert in the August 2006 issue of Guitar World Magazine. He has performed with numerous bands, and has appeared, as lead guitarist, with the Jessica Mellott Band on Fernando's Hideaway, a TV show based out of Boston, MA and has performed and recorded a live jam session with the world renowned US Navy Cruisers Band, featuring some of the top musicians in the world.
